Diana is a visual storyteller, and her toolkit consist of stories (along with art direction, phorography, and superb editing skills). 

She weaves from stories, — old and new, personal and foreign, classical and scandalous-balancing the beautiful and the unsightly.

Her use of dark, saturated colors and a maximalist approach are derived from her childhood; her creative vision, — like a Persian rug once hanging on her bedroom wall, — a tapestry of intricate, enticing patterns she traced as she drifted to sleep.

Growing up in Russia at its prime-during a time when the country was chasing Western ideals while still recovering from the rigid Soviet mindset, she experienced the contrasts of the era: a blend of glamorous chic and rough, melancholic realities. She continues to embrace these contrasts in her work, mixing dark and bright, desire and modesty, goth and glamour, while spicing it up with contemporary culture that reflects style and relevance.

Beyond design, fashion, and culture, Diana is mesmerized by the abyss of the human mind-hence her passion for journalism and creative writing.

In her work, she juggles themes of nostalgia, memory, and fear, striving to evoke an emotional response, whether good or bad.
